Chandigarh, August 8: A sudden administrative shift at Raj Bhavan, Shankha Chatterjee has been relieved from his position as Private Secretary to Haryana Governor Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh.
Official communications confirmed that the order took effect immediately following decisions formalized earlier this week.
Addressing inquiries regarding the departure, IAS officer Vijay Kumar, Secretary to the Governor, asserted that Chatterjee tendered his resignation due to personal reasons, after which the Governor accepted the request and relieved him of his duties.
Chatterjee served in the post since October 2025, having originally joined the staff following the Governor’s tenure commencement in July 2025.
Government circles affirmed that official procedures were maintained throughout the transition, concluding his stint in the state administration
