Chandigarh, August 20: Rajbir Singh Ghuman, Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister, has threatened defamation proceedings against Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia following monetary allegations. Ghuman called on the opposition leader to produce digital records or direct evidence demonstrating any personal financial solicitation.
The official asserted his innocence while dismissing the claims as politically motivated tactics.
“Thieves see everyone as thieves; making allegations is easy, but providing evidence is difficult,” Rajbir Singh Ghuman affirmed.
The OSD declared that traditional political families are reacting to the rise of youth from modest backgrounds into state administration. He noted that opponents resorted to personal attacks only after finding themselves unable to counter the administration’s governance agenda.
Reaffirming the state’s administrative focus, Ghuman declared that the government remains committed to its developmental priorities for Punjab. He urged political rivals to focus on constructive dialogue regarding public welfare instead of circulating unverified statements.
