Chandigarh, Sept 23: In a key strategic move ahead of future assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party announced fresh organisational appointments across multiple state units. Among the major shifts, national general secretary Tarun Chugh was assigned charge of Gujarat, while Rajya Sabha MP Baijayant Panda was appointed to lead state affairs in Maharashtra with Amit Malviya and Kamaljeet Sehrawat serving as co-in-charges.
For North Indian territories, the party affirmed that former Union Minister Smriti Irani will steer party affairs in Haryana. Simultaneously, Satish Poonia was tasked with leading the political strategy for Punjab, with support from co-in-charges Virendra Sachdeva and Alka Gurjar.
Party officials maintained that experienced leadership has been deployed across strategic zones, noting appointments such as Biplab Deb in Madhya Pradesh, Vinod Tawde in Uttar Pradesh, and Vinay Sahasrabuddhe in Delhi. The leadership declared that these administrative shifts are aimed at intensifying organizational readiness across all targeted belts.
