Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has said the Strait of Hormuz will not be reopened until seven Iranian conditions, based on the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, are fulfilled.
Ghalibaf said Tehran’s position remains “clear and firm” and accused Washington of trying to impose unilateral demands through mediators.
The June Islamabad MoU included provisions on ending military operations, lifting the U.S. naval blockade, easing sanctions, releasing Iranian frozen assets, and arrangements for commercial shipping through the Strait.
