Chandigarh, Oct 6: AAP Punjab President Aman Arora launched a scathing attack against the Congress high command on Monday, alleging that the appointment of new state leadership reflects internal compromise rather than strategic direction. Addressing reporters in Sangrur, Arora stated that grassroots workers feel disillusioned after former Sangrur MP Vijay Inder Singla was passed over, ignoring regional expectations across Malwa.
While wishing Olympian and MLA Pargat Singh well on taking charge as state Congress chief, Arora highlighted lingering discord within the opposition, citing social media posts from political families and Warring’s abrupt trip abroad. He noted that the central leadership’s delayed audience with the newly appointed state president signals a lack of serious commitment to Punjab.
Addressing public safety and social welfare, Arora outlined the state’s ongoing anti-drug drive, acknowledging the critical contributions of 15,000 localized defense committees.
“Instead of the enthusiasm that should have followed the appointment of a new state president, there is silence among Congress workers,” declared Aman Arora, noting that internal rifts have become public.
Arora urged citizens across villages and urban wards to collaborate directly with police forces and local committees to ensure effective enforcement.
“The fight against drugs cannot be won by the government alone; it requires the active participation of every section of society,” affirmed Aman Arora, emphasizing that communal cooperation will safeguard Punjab’s youth.
