Amritsar, Oct 12: Normalcy returned to Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport after a brief suspension of flight movements prompted by potential aerial intrusions near the operational zone.
The temporary halt on Sunday night represented the second such occurrence within a month, following a similar event on September 6 where suspected drones led to a 90-minute operational suspension affecting multiple carriers.
Security personnel initiated emergency measures upon spotting suspicious movements, prioritizing the safety of incoming flights before permitting regular air traffic to resume after 10.30 pm. Airport administration addressed stranded travelers, clarifying that the diversions were standard safety precautions, with regular flight schedules resuming shortly thereafter.
