NEW DELHI, OCT 12: Delhi authorities have identified Ramlila Maidan, Burari Ground, and CBD Ground in East Delhi as the three new designated locations for public gatherings and demonstrations.
The shift follows a formal assessment of venues aimed at balancing citizens’ constitutional right to peaceful assembly with public convenience and traffic management in the capital.
The Delhi Police confirmed that a revised set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) will be issued shortly to outline guidelines, permission processes, and safety protocols for organizers planning events at the newly designated sites.
