Party Representatives Point to Administrative Hurdles and Directives from Central Authorities

by TheReportingTimes

NEW DELHI, OCT 21: State authorities in Punjab have raised strong objections regarding the alleged detainment of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann at the Indira Gandhi International Airport following his return from Europe.

Baltej Pannu asserted that the Chief Minister was held for approximately three hours under pretextual delays concerning luggage clearance before being issued a financial penalty of fifty thousand rupees. Representatives declared that airport personnel explicitly communicated operating under immense pressure from central command structures while administering the challan.

Leadership maintained that the incident forms part of a continuous pattern of federal friction, referencing denied travel permissions, restricted financial disbursements, and ongoing disagreements over agricultural policies. Party spokespersons asserted that such measures are designed to undermine regional progress and diminish local leadership.

Observers noted that the delegation had traveled abroad to promote local industrial products at a major global trade event. Party representatives affirmed that the local administration remains committed to defending regional dignity despite ongoing administrative challenges originating from central institutions.
