Lucknow, October 22: During ceremonies marking Police Commemoration Day in Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath outlined a revised welfare framework for the state’s police force, incorporating raised travel, uniform, and communication allowances for active duty personnel.

The revised operational allowances will directly benefit field sub-inspectors, inspectors, PPS cadre officers, and constables. Official statements maintained that modernizing equipment and strengthening financial support structures form the cornerstone of the state’s broader strategy to maintain law and order across all districts.

Honoring the supreme sacrifice of law enforcement officers, state leaders laid wreaths at the police martyrs’ memorial. Officials declared that the dedication of active jawans remains vital to ensuring citizen safety, economic stability, and public peace, noting that six state personnel were among those honored nationally for their ultimate sacrifice over the preceding twelve months.

Addressing the gathering, representatives maintained that state policy since 2017 has prioritized zero tolerance toward organized crime, leading to the recruitment of over 2.26 lakh personnel and a substantial increase in female representation within the force. Administrators affirmed that enhanced police infrastructure, specialized cyber units, and expanded training capabilities have fundamentally transformed the state’s security environment.
