Kejriwal and AAP Leaders Target Amit Shah Over Akali Alliance Rumors

Party highlights 10-year Akali-BJP record, expressing confidence in returning to power

Chandigarh, Oct 26: Senior Aam Aadmi Party leadership criticized Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia over talks of a renewed alliance in Punjab. AAP Convenor Arvind Kejriwal took a jab at the proposed tie-up, stating that any plan by Amit Shah to control the drug trade by joining hands with Majithia would be a historic political farce.

AAP Punjab Prabhari Manish Sisodia and state chief Aman Arora maintained that the shifting statements from BJP and Akali leaders stem from their inability to gain ground individually. Arora stated that the ruling AAP administration has delivered key infrastructure and social welfare initiatives over the last four and a half years that previous governments failed to achieve over several decades.

Echoing these sentiments, media in-charge Baltej Pannu affirmed that Punjab endured widespread drug abuse during the previous decade under SAD-BJP rule. AAP leaders asserted that voters across Punjab are ready to reject political compromises, leaving the ruling party well-positioned to retain office in the next state assembly elections.
