Chandigarh, Oct 26: Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport re-established its direct link to Sharjah, marking the end of a three-year pause in the service. The winter schedule, effective through late March 2027, introduces four weekly round-trip flights connecting the region directly to the United Arab Emirates.
Outbound flights leave Chandigarh early afternoon to reach Sharjah in three hours, while return services arrive back in the region late in the evening. One-way fares for the route are positioned between thirteen thousand and twenty thousand rupees depending on booking timing.
The airport authority declared that the resumption aligns with ongoing efforts to broaden air travel options for local passengers. Alongside international additions, regional connectivity will expand with planned routes to Patna, Bengaluru, and Goa, boosting daily flight operations across the facility.
