New Delhi, Oct 26: Beijing described its border control activities along the Line of Actual Control as normal, urging India to collaborate in maintaining peace following recent Indian assessments of border friction. Chinese Foreign Ministry official Guo Jiakun asserted that patrol operations are conducted in full compliance with past agreements to protect sovereign territory.
The reaction comes after Indian authorities highlighted recurring disturbances linked to Chinese troops deviating from customary patrol routes. Concerns were highlighted after senior border police officials cited continued standoffs across sectors in Arunachal Pradesh, prompting the Ministry of External Affairs to affirm that adherence to established patterns is crucial for stability.
Both sides confirmed that diplomatic and military dialogue channels remain active to resolve outstanding issues. India continues to emphasize that peace along the frontier forms the necessary foundation for normalizing overall diplomatic ties between the two neighbors.
