Lucknow, Oct 30: The Bharatiya Janata Party launched its long-term strategy for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha elections as Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the party’s state working committee in Lucknow.
Shah promised that returning the party to power for a third term would clear the path for enacting the Uniform Civil Code across the state, adding that legislative precedents have already been established in other BJP-administered jurisdictions. He directed local leaders to prioritize voter outreach and booth-level management across all regions.
Addressing criticisms raised by opposition figures Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav regarding voting procedures, Shah rejected the claims and urged workers to counter political narrative through ground-level achievements. Party representatives declared that early organizational mobilization remains critical to maintaining administrative continuity.
State party officials asserted that working committee directives will be translated into constituency-specific action plans over the coming weeks, ensuring early preparation across urban and rural belts.
