HANDIGARH/NEW DELHI, NOV 2: The ruling Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab faces its first set of election-period exits on Monday, with three sitting MLAs preparing to join the Bharatiya Janata Party in New Delhi.
The legislators undertaking the move include Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra, Chetan Singh Jourmajra, and Kunwar Vijay Pratap.
Arrangements at the BJP central office were put in place following announcements of incoming leaders, with party head Nitin Nabin expected to lead the reception.
The political shift takes place against the backdrop of expected internal adjustments as candidate lists are reviewed across assembly segments in Punjab.
Key organizational coordination for the move was handled by BJP national secretary Sandeep Pathak, who previously maintained close familiarity with the candidate selection framework of the ruling party during the 2022 state elections.
