Hoshiarpur, June 17: Six people sustained injuries on Wednesday following a multi-vehicle collision involving a private bus and two pick-up vehicles near Machhian village. The injured individuals were quickly rushed to nearby medical facilities for treatment.
Local police officials managed the rescue operations and initiated an inquiry into the sequence of events. Investigating officers stated that two of the injured persons were admitted to the Community Health Centre in Bhunga, while the remaining four individuals were transported to the Government Hospital in Hoshiarpur for further medical care.
The incident occurred when the private bus, which was heading toward Hoshiarpur, collided with an oncoming pick-up vehicle. Shortly after the initial impact, a second pick-up vehicle traveling in the same direction struck the rear portion of the bus.
“The bus travelling towards Hoshiarpur first collided with a pick-up vehicle coming from the opposite direction near Machhian village,” a police spokesperson asserted while detailing the crash. “A second pick-up vehicle, which was also moving towards Hoshiarpur, later hit the rear side of the bus.”
Authorities are currently monitoring the condition of the victims and working to clear the site to ensure the smooth flow of traffic on the route.
