Ludhaina, Nov 2: Senior police authorities in Khanna ordered departmental action and formed a Special Investigation Team after surveillance recordings exposed the framing of a political leader.
According to administrative details, ASI Sukhdev Singh was captured on room cameras placing material under a mattress prior to an official search led by local station house officers. The subsequent discovery of 30 grams of heroin was rendered void once senior officers inspected the video logs.
Addressing the findings, SSP Darpan Ahluwalia stated that the targeted leader, Mahant Kashmir Giri, was cleared of all charges immediately following the verification of the visual evidence.
The administration established an SIT to reconstruct the timeline and determine accountability among participating members of the raid party. Further inquiries into the origin of the initial allegations maintain active status.
