Chandigarh, March 16 – A scuffle in Sector 25 escalated into an attack on a police officer and damage to a government vehicle, leading to an FIR against three individuals.

According to ASI Anshuman of the Sector 11 police station, officers responded to a fight near a house in Sector 25 around 4:25 p.m. on Friday. The involved parties were taken to the local Beat Box for verification when a man, identified as Satish alias Golu, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, confronted the officers. Claiming to be an influential figure in the area, he insisted that police intervention was unnecessary.

When ASI Anshuman attempted to pacify him, Satish reportedly began arguing and pushing him. Moments later, his brother Surender and an accomplice, Ravi, joined in and allegedly assaulted the officer. During the altercation, Satish is accused of grabbing ASI Anshuman’s collar, tearing his uniform, and breaking its buttons.

As police tried to detain Satish, one of his accomplices allegedly smashed a government vehicle’s windshield with a brick before fleeing. Surender and Ravi managed to escape in the chaos.

A case has been registered against the trio for obstructing a public servant in duty, assault, and damaging government property. Authorities are working to apprehend the absconding accused.
