New Delhi/Chandigarh, July 21: Aam Aadmi Party leaders have called on the Union Government to address growing anger among national competitive exam candidates following police intervention at major demonstration sites in central Delhi. Thousands of young aspirants converged near Parliament demanding the resignation of the Union Education Minister alongside comprehensive overhauls to address NEET paper leaks and evaluation errors.
The ongoing agitation led to significant disruptions across central areas including Janpath and Connaught Place. Political figures reviewing the situation declared that using police machinery to disperse candidates seeking redress fails to resolve the underlying administrative breakdowns within testing agencies.
Emphasizing the emotional and financial toll on families, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann maintained that systemic flaws allow unmerited advantages while penalizing diligent candidates.
“There are countless students who believe that education can transform their lives,” Bhagwant Singh Mann stated. “They wake up at early hours to study and spend 14 hours a day preparing, but just before the examination, they learn that the paper has been leaked. This is completely wrong.”
Supporters of the protest maintained that repeated irregularities without prompt resolution erode public trust in national educational assessments. AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal declared that government bodies must act swiftly to restore transparency and protect the future of the nation’s youth.
