CHANDIGARH, May 25 — Pointing to the critical role of municipal institutions in driving regional progress, Sri Anandpur Sahib lawmaker Malvinder Singh Kang asked voters to deliver a decisive mandate to the Aam Aadmi Party in the civic body elections on Tuesday.
The lawmaker declared that municipal committees and corporations function as the frontline of public service delivery. He stated that robust local mandates are essential for accelerating work on public facilities, street cleanliness, and urban planning.
“The people of Punjab should support honest and development-oriented politics by electing AAP candidates and further strengthening the Bhagwant Mann government’s mission of progress,” Kang asserted.
The voting process touches several strategic municipal pockets, most notably the Mohali Municipal Corporation. Kang noted that the state government has consistently prioritized upgrading urban infrastructure during its tenure, and a collaborative local administration would help maximize those efforts.
He specifically urged residents across Nawanshahr, Banga, Garhshankar, Nangal, Anandpur Sahib, Kiratpur Sahib, Rupnagar, Chamkaur Sahib, Kurali, and Naya Gaon to actively exercise their franchise.
The MP maintained that a high voter turnout for the ruling party would strengthen the hands of the Chief Minister and ensure that city councils remain focused on public welfare and community development.
