New Delhi, April 30: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations announced the 2026 ICSE and ISC results on Thursday, showcasing a year of significant academic achievement with pass rates crossing the 99 percent threshold. The council reported that over 3.6 lakh students combined appeared for the examinations held earlier this year.

In the ICSE results, girls achieved a pass percentage of 99.46 percent, while boys recorded a slightly lower rate of 98.93 percent. This pattern was repeated in the ISC results, where female candidates maintained a success rate of 99.48 percent against 98.81 percent for male candidates. Council officials maintained that 2,131 students did not clear the Class 10 exams, while 902 students were unsuccessful in Class 12.

The council declared that the performance was strong across all social categories. General category candidates in Class 12 recorded a 99.17 percent pass rate, while SC and ST categories maintained percentages of 98.77 and 98.84 respectively. For Class 10, the pass percentage for SC candidates stood at 98.07 percent. Board members stated that the diversity of subjects offered—totaling over 100 across both boards—ensures a wide-ranging evaluation of student aptitude.

Academic experts affirmed that the high scores this year signal a robust educational environment. CISCE representatives stated that students can verify their individual marks on the official portal. They affirmed that the Council remains committed to maintaining high standards of evaluation and transparency in the examination process.
