New Delhi, Nov 3: The atmospheric conditions across Delhi and adjoining NCR cities continued to hover in the ‘severe’ to ‘hazardous’ range on Tuesday, maintaining a critical public health warning across the metropolitan area.
Medical practitioners affirmed that the elevated Air Quality Index (AQI) is leading to an increase in respiratory complaints, including severe wheezing, chronic coughing, and sudden asthma exacerbations.
Doctors also noted a significant rise in surface-level symptoms such as persistent eye irritation, redness, watering, and various skin reactions ranging from dryness to widespread rashes.
Health authorities advise citizens to wear specialized protective masks outdoors and consult medical professionals at the onset of severe respiratory or ocular discomfort.
