Bhiwani, April 20: The Chief Justice of India, Justice Surya Kant, is scheduled to address the fifth convocation ceremony of Chaudhary Bansi Lal University (CBLU) in Bhiwani on April 25. University officials stated that the presence of the nation’s highest-ranking judicial officer serves as a significant milestone for the institution and a primary source of motivation for the graduating class.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Deepti Dharmani noted that hosting the Chief Justice, a native of Petwar village in Hisar, is a matter of great prestige for the university. Justice Surya Kant assumed office as the 53rd Chief Justice of India on November 24, 2025, following a career that began at the district court level in Hisar.
“It will be a matter of pride for the university and an inspiration for the students to have the CJI as the chief guest,” Prof. Dharmani declared. She affirmed that the Governor of Haryana and University Chancellor, Prof. Aseem Kumar Ghosh, will preside over the ceremony to formally confer degrees upon the students.
Preparations for the academic event are currently underway, with the university administration engaging nearly 100 research scholars to assist in the management and planning phases. Prof. Dharmani asserted that the active involvement of the academic community is essential to ensuring the event’s success resonates across the region.
The university also announced upcoming administrative changes for research scholars, including the implementation of mandatory biometric attendance starting in May 2026. Faculty members declared that specific responsibilities for the convocation would be assigned shortly to ensure a seamless execution of the prestigious program.
