Chandigarh: Punjab Industries and Commerce Minister Aman Arora engaged in key discussions with H.E. Abdulla Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Secretary General of the UAE International Investment Council, during the Annual Investment Meeting in Dubai to mobilize foreign investment into the state.
Focusing on establishing robust institutional linkages, the engagement sought to enable direct capital inflows and joint ventures between the UAE and Punjab. Minister Arora maintained that Punjab offers a highly conducive entrepreneurial ecosystem, excellent multimodal connectivity, skilled technical manpower, and a transparent governance framework.
Addressing the delegation, Mr Arora stated that the state government is committed to providing seamless logistical facilitation to make the investment journey smooth and hassle-free. He emphasized that the state’s streamlined single-window system, ‘Invest Punjab’, guarantees efficient clearances to support expanding enterprises.
The UAE Council acknowledged the delegation’s initiative to build stronger commercial ties. Mr Arora asserted that the talks will strengthen bilateral relations and create strong avenues for economic development and industrial collaboration moving forward.
