Residents stepping out for weekend activities faced sudden torrents after clear skies gave way to heavy clouds without warning, offering cool relief from humidity while causing temporary disruption to vehicular movement.
Numerous individuals found themselves pinned under storefront awnings and bus stops waiting out the worst of the deluge.
“I wanted to go till the car, but I could not move a step as it was pouring so badly,” Puneet, a local worker stranded by the rain, declared.
The sudden downpour marks the second significant rain event within forty-eight hours, following a similar storm that inundated key intersections and caused localized flooding earlier in the week.
Recognizing the danger posed by reduced road traction and poor visual range, law enforcement officers issued an urgent traffic advisory for everyone on the road.
