Mansa, Oct 19: The remaining North American legs of late singer Sidhu Moosewala’s hologram tour have been put on hold by his father, Balkaur Singh, who cited the prevailing situation and public protests in Punjab over the killing of activist Parvinder Singh Jhota.
Sharing the update on social media, Balkaur Singh affirmed that priority must be given to regional matters and his local constituency in Mansa during this period.
He maintained appreciation for international supporters who attended earlier sold-out events in Vancouver and Toronto, while expressing apologies to followers in Calgary and across the United States. He declared an intent to reschedule the tour dates with an enhanced presentation in the future once circumstances permit.
The postponement comes during ongoing public demonstrations concerning the October 13 incident in Mansa, where activist Parvinder Singh Jhota was fatally shot, a situation that previously led actress Neeru Bajwa to pause work on her upcoming film ‘Thaapi’.
