Amritsar, Oct 4: Prominent online personality Madhusudan, alias Mad Sandhu, died of gunshot wounds after being targeted by two unidentified assailants riding a motorcycle on Loharka Road in Amritsar on Saturday evening. Police reports indicate that the armed men fired multiple rounds at Sandhu around 6 pm before escaping from the location. Bystanders rushed the injured influencer to a private healthcare facility, where medical personnel pronounced him dead during emergency care.
Providing details on the case, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Sirivennela declared that law enforcement agencies have secured key operational leads and deployed dedicated teams to track down the fleeing suspects. Investigating officers are presently reviewing visual feeds from nearby surveillance systems to establish the escape route utilized by the gunmen. Authorities asserted that the underlying motive behind the shooting remains to be established, noting that no organization has come forward to claim responsibility for the crime.
The late influencer, who enjoyed a substantial digital following and had acted in cinematic projects, had reportedly faced verbal warnings regarding his online content earlier this year. The violent incident has drawn sharp political reactions, with opposition parties criticizing the ruling administration over regional security conditions. Congress leader Raj Kumar Verka maintained that the incident reflects deteriorating law and order in the state, declaring that the provincial government must take responsibility for failing to safeguard citizens.
