MOGA, Sept 26 — Demonstrating substantial organizational strength, the CPI(ML) New Democracy organized a major public rally at the Moga grain market, drawing thousands of participants to honor legendary activist martyr Baldev Singh Mann.
Senior party leaders used the platform to issue a sharp critique of central policies, declaring that rising political polarization poses a direct threat to democratic institutions and communal harmony across the country.
The convention focused heavily on foundational socio-economic issues, with speakers asserting the urgent necessity of securing land rights for agricultural laborers, safeguarding Dalit protections, and defending constitutional federalism. Representatives also voiced serious concern regarding the execution of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, maintaining that clear safeguards must be maintained to prevent voter disenfranchisement.
Reflecting on Baldev Singh Mann’s historical legacy in peasant and youth organizing, party spokespersons declared that the organization will continue to lead public demonstrations to defend marginalized communities against political and economic overreach.
