Addressing the media, Commissioner of Police Pankaj Nain highlighted that police have arrested 179 suspected drug peddlers—including 71 key suppliers—as part of a targeted crackdown. Recoveries span high-value illicit substances, including nearly 11.5 kg of heroin, commercial quantities of opium and charas, alongside thousands of illegal prescription tablets and quantities of cocaine and cannabis. According to DCP Crime Amrinder Singh, the arrested network draws heavily from neighboring states, with a significant majority originating from Punjab and surrounding northern regions.

Marking the disposal phase of concluded investigations, DCP Aditi Singh supervised the formal destruction of seized contraband worth ₹9.27 crore at the Hygiene Factory in Bagwala. The incinerated items included large stockpiles of ganja, charas, poppy husk, and cultivated opium plants.
