The temporary restrictions will result in the cancellation of hundreds of scheduled trips, while several key long-distance services will terminate at neighboring stations such as Ambala Cantonment and Mohali.
To manage passenger flow and maintain essential connectivity, Northern Railway has divided platform closures into three successive 12-day blocks. Senior officials confirmed that temporary extra halts have been added at Mohali for selected long-distance routes to mitigate commuter inconvenience.
