NEW DELHI / PUNJAB: The Aam Aadmi Party has mounted a united national defense following the Central Bureau of Investigation’s search operation at Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s camp office, framing the action as a desperate measure by the BJP-led Union government ahead of state Assembly elections. Party stalwarts characterized the raids as part of a broader, systemic pattern aimed at intimidating state leadership and defaming the ruling administration in Punjab.
Addressing the development, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal stated that the central agencies are being leveraged to compensate for the BJP’s lack of substantive electoral issues in the region. He reaffirmed that the citizens of Punjab will reject central overreach at the ballot box and return the AAP government with a resounding majority of over 100 Assembly seats. Meanwhile, AAP Punjab In-charge Manish Sisodia and Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj maintained that the federal probe agencies are operating as political proxies, cautioning that similar coercive tactics deployed in Delhi would fail to resonate with or subjugate the electorate in Punjab.
