Sonepat, Sep 3: Three labourers hailing from Uttar Pradesh died, and nine others suffered injuries following a vehicular collision on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway in Sonepat on Thursday.
The victims were en route to Beri in Jhajjar when their van was struck by another vehicle near Kharkhoda. The sudden impact damaged the commuter van, causing critical injuries to several occupants onboard.
Emergency responders transported the survivors to local medical centers to ensure immediate attention for those in critical condition. Local police secured the scene to ensure smooth movement of traffic on the busy expressway following the incident.
Inspector Anil, SHO of Kharkhoda police station, affirmed that three workers succumbed to their injuries during the crash, while the remaining injured individuals were hospitalised. Investigation officers continue to gather details to ascertain the exact circumstances of the collision.
