LUCKNOW — In a public message issued ahead of International Literacy Day on September 8, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath outlined Uttar Pradesh’s evolving educational blueprint, emphasizing that schooling must extend beyond basic reading and writing to impart life values, confidence, and modern technical skills.
Highlighting state programs aimed at youth development, the Chief Minister stated that schemes including Operation Kayakalp, Mission Prerna, and competitive coaching under Mukhyamantri Abhyudaya Yojana have yielded measurable success in bringing more children into mainstream schooling while minimizing dropouts. He affirmed that teachers serve as the bedrock of this transformation by connecting cultural heritage with modern innovation. Urging community-wide action, he called upon the public to mentor unlettered individuals in their communities, asserting that minor efforts toward teaching others can unlock life-changing opportunities.
