Moga, Sept 27: Anti-corruption enforcement authorities in Punjab arrested a serving female Station House Officer and an accompanying Home Guard jawan in Moga after caught red-handed accepting an illegal payment of Rs 50,000. Bureau officials stated that the dynamic action was initiated after receiving specific claims regarding corrupt practices linked to case handling at the local police station level.
Law enforcement representatives declared that the officer was previously placed on the radar of vigilance sleuths following systemic inputs regarding graft collection using departmental support staff, including her designated gunman. Vigilance personnel asserted that the current raid successfully intercepted the exchange of bribe money, leading to the immediate detention of both accused individuals on the spot.
State vigilance authorities maintained that comprehensive procedural formalities and document verification procedures are currently underway. Senior officers declared that stringent legal action will be pursued against all public servants engaging in corrupt practices, maintaining a clear zero-tolerance policy across law enforcement institutions.
