Automation Expo 2025 to Showcase India’s Industrial Future

by TheReportingTimes

MUMBAI, July 29 — The 18th edition of the India International Trade Show — Automation Expo 2025 — will be held from August 11 to 14 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC) in Goregaon, Mumbai, bringing together over 2,000 companies and an expected 65,000 trade visitors. Organized by IED Communications Ltd., the expo is South Asia’s largest platform for automation and instrumentation, unveiling the latest in industrial innovation, sustainable solutions, and smart manufacturing technologies.

With the theme “Crafting a Resilient & Sustainable Future Through Automation,” this year’s expo aims to drive meaningful conversations and collaborations among industry leaders, technologists, and manufacturers. “This expo is not just a display of products; it’s a vital platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration that will steer India toward a more sustainable and efficient industrial future,” said an IED spokesperson.

The event will be inaugurated by Mr. B. Narayan, Group President (Procurement and Projects), Reliance Industries Ltd. Guests of Honor include Padmashri Prof. Dr. G. D. Yadav (ANRF/DST/GOI), Mr. Ritwij Kulkarni, Country Head at Honeywell Industrial Automation, and Mr. Vinayak Marathe, Head – India Business Operations, Phillip Townsend Associates.

A wide range of major automation firms will participate, including ABB India, Endress+Hauser, Advantech India, Phoenix Contact, Beckhoff Automation, Yokogawa India, and WIKA India. Emerging startups and technology disruptors from India and abroad will also have dedicated space, bringing fresh perspectives and innovation to the industrial landscape.

Automation Expo 2025 will cover 35,000 sq. meters across Halls 2, 3, and 6, offering an immersive experience where robotics, real-time data, AI, and connected systems converge. Live demonstrations of collaborative robots (cobots), AI-powered robotics, and advanced machine vision systems will highlight the evolution of human-machine interaction on factory floors.

Industry 4.0 technologies will take center stage with showcases of digital twins, IIoT, predictive analytics, and cloud-integrated platforms. These tools are helping businesses transition to smarter, connected factories. Visitors will see how digital systems like PLCs, SCADA, DCS, HMIs, and field instruments enable performance optimization, regulatory compliance, and data-driven decision-making.

Factory automation systems such as robotic arms, servo drives, and motion controllers will demonstrate how high-volume production is being revolutionized through minimal manual intervention. “Automation is no longer optional,” said a participating exhibitor. “It’s the backbone of competitive and agile industries.”

The four-day event will also feature three high-impact conferences. On August 11, “NexGen Factories” will explore sustainable industrial transformation. “Sustainable Process Evolution,” set for August 12, will delve into smart instrumentation and emissions control. A hands-on “Back to Basics Workshop” for engineers will be held August 13. Additional sessions on AI, industrial cybersecurity, and asset optimization will offer practical insights.

The expo will also host B2B networking zones and a Startup Showcase for innovators in robotics, edge computing, and machine vision. These zones aim to foster direct collaboration between OEMs, system integrators, investors, and solution providers.

The expo is designed for a broad industrial audience, including CEOs, CTOs, Plant Heads, Engineers, System Integrators, and Technology Officers from sectors such as automotive, energy, oil & gas, food & beverage, logistics, defence, cement, and more. The event is particularly geared toward professionals looking to adopt automation for efficiency and sustainability.

Visitor registration is now open at Automation Expo 2025 Registration. While general entry is restricted to individuals 18 and above, students are allowed on the final day, August 14, after 11 a.m.

Automation Expo has grown into Asia’s most significant gathering for automation and instrumentation since its inception. It continues to serve as a launchpad for next-generation technology, offering industry professionals an in-depth look at the innovations shaping India’s industrial future.
