Ludhiana Hosts Sarkar-e-Khalsa Awards

British MP Among Thirteen Prominent Punjabis Honoured

Ludhiana Jan 21: Thirteen distinguished individuals and organizations were presented with the Sarkar-e-Khalsa Award 2026 in Ludhiana for their outstanding contributions to society and the pride they have brought to Punjab on a global scale.

The ceremony saw a diverse group of recipients, including SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami and retired Lieutenant General K.J.S. Dhillon. The awards, organized by DIB Events Dubai, covered various sectors including social service, industry, sports, and religious leadership.

Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan, who served as the chief guest, expressed his appreciation for the awardees’ dedication. He was joined by several prominent figures, including Baba Gurjeet Singh Nanaksar and former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi.

“The efforts of the organisers in bringing together such talent are vital for strengthening our shared values,” Sandhwan said.

The list of awardees included UK MP Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi, Sukhdev Singh Phagwara of the Sikhs for Equality Foundation, and industrialist Sachit Jain of the Vardhman Group. The sports world was represented by wrestler Jassa Patti, while international contributions were recognized through Diljit Singh from New Zealand and Jeevan Singh from Tamil United Sikhs.

Other notable recipients were Mrs. Bector of Bector Foods, Baba Satnam Singh of Kar Sewa Kila Anandgarh Sahib, Baba Sukha Singh of Sarhali Sahib, and Baba Jagjeet Singh of Baru Sahib. Organizations such as SAF International, United Sikhs, and Global Sikhs were also recognized for their collective humanitarian impact.

The organizers mentioned that the primary goal of the Sarkar-e-Khalsa Awards is to foster unity among Punjabis worldwide and to inspire the younger generation through the examples set by the recipients. They further noted that the event serves as a platform to honor the enduring spirit of service that defines the community.
