CM stresses need to spread Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s teachings among youth

Republic Day tableau to showcase Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s legacy

Chandigarh, Jan 25: Amid statewide observance of the 350th martyrdom centenary of ‘Hind Di Chadar’ Sahib Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, Punjab Chief Minister has underlined the importance of spreading Guru Sahib’s teachings to every section of society, particularly the youth.

In a post on X, the CM said Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s philosophy gave the world the ideals of human rights, equality, religious freedom, and social freedom—values that remain relevant in present times.

As part of the commemorations, the Punjab government has sent a tableau showcasing Guru Sahib’s life and martyrdom for the Republic Day Parade on January 26, where it will be showcased at the national level.

The Chief Minister stated that state-level programmes are being organised with respect and devotion to mark the historic occasion, while efforts are continuing to ensure that the message of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji reaches future generations.

He added that awareness of Guru Sahib’s sacrifice and teachings is essential to strengthen the values of harmony, equality, and justice in society.
