Chandigarh, March, 5: Baltej Pannu, the Punjab Media Head for the Aam Aadmi Party, has issued a stern warning to drug traffickers, stating they must either cease their activities or face uncompromising action from the state. The statement was made during his visit to Ludhiana on Wednesday to check on the welfare of an activist currently undergoing treatment for injuries sustained during a confrontation with peddlers.

Mr. Pannu affirmed that the Bhagwant Mann government is “rock-solid” in its support for citizens who act as whistleblowers against the drug trade. He stated that the safety of those fighting on the front lines of this social issue is a top priority for the current administration.

“Drug peddlers must either leave Punjab or face severe and uncompromising action. We will not rest until the drug menace is eradicated entirely,” Mr. Pannu asserted.

During the visit to Mohan Dai Hospital, the spokesperson maintained that the government is providing comprehensive assistance to the injured man’s family. He noted that the ongoing campaign against drugs is not just a police effort but a social movement backed by the state’s resources.

“The government is providing complete support to the victim’s family,” Mr. Pannu declared, noting that the administration has already seen success through widespread arrests and the seizure of traffickers’ assets.

He further stated that the mission to eliminate drugs has reached its most decisive stage. He mentioned that the synergy between the government and the 1.5 lakh volunteers of the Nasha Mukti Morcha would ensure that the curse of addiction is removed from Punjab’s soil permanently.
