Malaysia, April 6: Geetanjali Om Parkash, the 59-year-old Managing Director of the Dr. Om Parkash Group of Eye Institutes, has secured a historic victory for India by being crowned Mrs International World Classic 2026. The grand finale, held on March 27 in Kuala Lumpur, marks the first time a representative from India has claimed this specific global honor, signaling a landmark achievement for the nation’s presence in international pageantry.

Beyond the primary crown, Om Parkash earned specialized recognition during the competition, including the “Mrs Empowerment” subtitle and the award for “Most Exotic National Costume.” Judges noted her consistent performance throughout the rigorous selection process, which featured a personal interview, swimsuit round, and evening gown presentation. Officials stated that her elegance and confidence were defining factors in her success on the global stage.

Her journey to the title was marked by significant personal resilience, having overcome a period of being bedridden due to rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 32. Reflecting on her recovery and eventual triumph, she affirmed that setbacks do not define an individual, but rather one’s response to them. “Nothing breaks a woman who chooses to stand tall,” she declared, emphasizing that her victory serves as a message of strength and reinvention for women of all ages.

Currently, Om Parkash utilizes her platform to advocate for the economic independence of women from underserved backgrounds. She maintained that her mission is focused on creating skill-based opportunities for younger generations and building sustainable futures. Her win is being celebrated across Punjab and India as a reminder that professional and personal dreams remain timeless regardless of age.
