Dhaula, April 29: Police authorities have launched a technical investigation after a small drone was recovered from the Trident Group’s plant in Dhaula village on Tuesday. The device was found within the paper manufacturing section of the premises, leading to a swift review of existing security arrangements at the industrial site.
A team headed by Tapa DSP Jaskaran Singh Brar arrived at the scene shortly after plant officials reported the find. The DSP asserted that the object is a toy-type drone capable of flying within a 50 to 60-meter radius. He stated that the authorities are currently investigating the matter through available technical means and are scrutinizing surveillance recordings to determine how the device entered the restricted area.
Plant employees noted that the object was spotted falling within the division during the early morning shift. Following the discovery, the shift in-charge informed the higher management, who then alerted the district police. The DSP declared that the device might be sent to a forensic science laboratory for more detailed testing if the initial probe proves inconclusive.
The recovery comes shortly after public demonstrations occurred near other company units in the region. Police officials have refrained from making conclusive statements regarding the motive or origin of the flight, affirming instead that the current focus remains on the forensic and technical aspects of the recovered drone.
