Joint task force demolishes unauthorized properties linked to land mafia

by TheReportingTimes

Gurugram, July 7: An enforcement drive led by the Palam Vihar Crime Branch smashed illegal structures across five locations in Dhankot, targeting properties built by notorious figures involved in land grabbing and drug trafficking. The district administration provided full logistical backing for the operation, which focused on removing structures erected in direct violation of land zoning laws.

The unauthorized properties were traced back to two specific local residents from Dhanwapur village, identified by police as Narender, alias Pavva, and Sunny, alias Dogra. Law enforcement officials stated that both individuals have a history of violent crime in the district. Pavva is named in 12 separate files involving dacoity, assault, and attempted murder, while Dogra faces 13 distinct criminal cases covering firearms violations and other high-level felonies.

Local inquiries established that the suspects had occupied public territory adjacent to the Dhankot canal to build an unpermitted residential building and an illegal borewell. Following the swift completion of official clearances by local revenue authorities, demolition squads dismantled the entire cluster of structures.

The localized crackdown was carried out with high precision to prevent any retaliatory unrest from gang associates. Gurugram police representatives maintained that robust security cordons were deployed around the perimeter, allowing the demolition teams to complete their work without any disruption to public peace.

The state’s current policing policy emphasizes the total dismantling of parallel economic systems run by outlaws. By taking back public land and blocking access to stolen resources like groundwater, authorities aim to neutralize the influence of regional gang leaders.

The administration has issued a stern warning that this exercise is not an isolated event. A Gurugram police spokesperson asserted that strict campaigns targeting assets acquired through illegal avenues will remain a core focus of future policing to keep the city safe.
