Historic Diaspora Gathering Concludes Modi’s Australia Visit

by TheReportingTimes

Melbourne, July 9: Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded his three-day official visit to Australia on Thursday with a historic community address before a record-breaking crowd of thirty thousand expatriates in Melbourne. The massive turnout coincided with a highly productive diplomatic summit that delivered eighteen major outcomes spanning defense, maritime security, critical technologies, and mining cooperation.

“The India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of 2022 has continuously expanded the scope of our cooperation,” Prime Minister Modi maintained in a public statement reviewing the bilateral achievements. He declared that a new joint declaration has been issued specifically to strengthen defense and security ties alongside advanced maritime collaboration.

The standard of engagement between the two countries has translated into growing interest among the migrant population, who waited for hours to hear the Prime Minister speak. Expatriates noted that regular high-level visits have greatly elevated the standing of the community abroad.

“We hope that Indian leaders keep coming here,” an attending member of the diaspora affirmed during the cultural celebrations. She stated that the community remains deeply connected to its roots and eagerly listens to national updates despite residing overseas.
