Voter Roll Deadlines Rescheduled for Delhi, Punjab

Booth Level Verification Deadlines Deferred to August

by TheReportingTimes

Chandigarh, July 16: The Election Commission has announced an extension for the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, adjusting key timelines for the national capital and Punjab. In Delhi, the final publication date for the completed voter lists has been shifted by twelve days to October nineteen, deviating from the initial target of October seven.

The operational calendar for ground-level field verification has been expanded to ensure thorough data capture. Booth-level officers in Delhi will now continue their house-to-house verification work until August eight, extending the prior deadline of July twenty-nine for the exercise that originally began on June thirty.

Consequently, authorities will present the draft electoral roll for Delhi on August seventeen. The updated administrative framework permits the filing of claims and objections from August seventeen through September sixteen, while the dedicated window for resolving these public submissions will remain active until October fifteen.
