Prayagraj, Sept 15: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced significant welfare initiatives for the legal community at an event hosted by the Allahabad High Court Bar Association. Addressing the gathering, leadership declared that lawyers act as guardians of constitutional values, serving as a vital link between administrative governance and public faith in the rule of law.
Under the newly announced measures, active lawyers across High Court and district legal wings will receive annual cashless medical insurance up to ₹5 lakh. The administration also affirmed a substantial increase in financial assistance provided through the Advocate Welfare Fund to ₹5 lakh, while raising the age ceiling for family relief to 70 years. State Law Officers are set to receive digital tablets following a fee revision of more than 50 percent.
State officials maintained that ongoing judicial reforms include the construction of Advocate Chambers for over 10,000 lawyers at an investment of ₹700 crore, alongside high-speed internet connectivity linking prisons and district courts for online testimony. Leadership asserted that institutional coordination between the executive and judiciary continues to improve conviction rates and strengthen administrative transparency across the state.
