Mukerian, July 20: Aam Aadmi Party Supremo Arvind Kejriwal declared that honest governance in Punjab has enabled the state to deliver unprecedented welfare benefits to millions of households. Speaking at a cultural gathering in Mukerian, he announced that the second phase of financial transfers under the Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojna will cover more than 50 lakh additional women starting August 1.
The AAP National Convenor stated that women whose registrations were recently completed will get their financial support credited as a single combined payment for July, August, and September. He affirmed that zero electricity bills and direct bank account transfers demonstrate how public funds are being used transparently for citizen welfare. He maintained that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s administration stands out for its complete freedom from corruption scandals.
Alongside social welfare programs, the state announced an expansion of public pilgrimage schemes and religious infrastructure development. The Mukh Mantri Teerath Yojna will cover over 1.5 lakh pilgrims with fully funded transport, lodging, and meals across several new religious routes. Furthermore, significant funding has been allocated to construct new temple complexes at historic sites in Amritsar and Patiala.
Reaffirming the party’s long-term vision, Arvind Kejriwal maintained that the administration remains focused on grassroots engagement and public wellbeing. He asserted that the continuous efforts of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann have established a solid foundation for sustainable growth and community upliftment across Punjab.
