Sangrur, July 21: Regional recruitment efforts gained momentum in Sunam as 61 commercial and manufacturing enterprises engaged with job seekers during the first cluster-level Mega Job Fair for Sangrur, Malerkotla, and Barnala. The multi-industry event produced 562 immediate selections and 618 candidate shortlists, extending placement options to individuals aged 18 to 50 across technical, trade, and corporate domains.
The platform provided roles suitable for candidates holding varied certifications, including mechanical and electrical diplomas, ITI trades, scientific and commercial degrees, and specialized CNC training. Selected participants received immediate Letters of Intent carrying monthly starting pay scales extending up to 42,000 rupees.
Speaking at the venue, Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Aman Arora maintained that state policy focuses on building a balanced job market where public recruitment operates alongside robust private industry engagement.
“The Punjab Government is making continuous efforts to create a progressive and employment-friendly ecosystem across the state,” Aman Arora asserted. “Our departments are working together as a bridge between employers and job seekers by connecting companies with skilled youth.”
The Minister further declared that recruitment processes for government posts remain strictly transparent and free of recommendations. Commenting on regional industrial trends, he maintained that youth should feel empowered to pursue viable career paths wherever quality positions arise across the state’s expanding commercial centers.
