Ranchi Student Agitation Enters Next Phase Following Unresolved Government Parleys

Ministers seek written suggestions on recruitment reforms as candidate delegation vows to sustain hunger strike

by TheReportingTimes

Ranchi, August 8: Student organizations protesting recruitment examination processes in Jharkhand have confirmed that their statewide agitation and hunger strike will continue following inconclusive negotiations with cabinet representatives.

The second round of dialogue took place at Morabadi, where candidate representatives presented an expanded list of reform demands covering teacher recruitment frameworks alongside previous commission-level examination grievances.

Following the discussions, Minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu declared that student feedback would be thoroughly examined while formulating a broader policy mechanism to ensure transparency in competitive examinations.

Government delegates assured the delegation that all key points would be placed before Chief Minister Hemant Soren for high-level evaluation.

Student coordinators asserted that while the initial dialogue opened administrative channels, the protest movement centered at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium will remain active until official decisions are formally notified by the state government.
