New Delhi/Shimla, August 11: The state administration of Himachal Pradesh formally submitted to the Supreme Court that senior administrative and police officials in Kullu district have been moved to new positions. The update follows high-level judicial scrutiny concerning the alleged oversight and permitting of large-scale rave parties throughout 2025. Himachal Pradesh Advocate General Anup Rattan affirmed before the bench that the transfers of Deputy Commissioner Anurag Chander Sharma, Superintendent of Police Madan Lal, and the local Sub-Divisional Magistrate were fully executed in compliance with High Court instructions.
While the Supreme Court granted interim relief to the officers by staying the registration of an FIR and the setup of an SIT inquiry, the apex bench declined to halt the administrative transfers. State representatives maintained that the relocation of the district leadership ensures proper governance while the judicial review of the underlying allegations continues. State counsel declared that the government remains committed to maintaining strict regulatory oversight across tourist hubs while upholding procedure and judicial mandates.
