CHANDAULI — Operating as part of Uttar Pradesh’s intensified enforcement campaign against narcotics trade, the Varanasi ANTF team executed a targeted operation resulting in the recovery of over 1 kilogram of illicit heroin. The suspect, Abhishek Sonkar, was apprehended on the Alinagar service road in Chandauli while attempting to deliver the consignment.

Task force officials stated that the seized narcotics carry an estimated market value of Rs 2.10 crore.
