CHANDIGARH: In a direct address to city residents, Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria declared that administrative and police authorities will leave no stone unturned in prosecuting drug peddlers operating in Chandigarh. Unveiling a multi-pronged civic awareness campaign in Sector 17, Kataria maintained that curbing the drug menace requires active public support, localized vigil, and peer support systems to help affected individuals recover.
The initiative, spearheaded by the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, combines anti-drug awareness with the ‘Rashtriya Poshan Maah’ drive focused on family health, nutrition, and strengthening Anganwadi infrastructure. Emphasizing the shared responsibility of citizens and officials, the launch brought together civic leaders, business associations, and senior administrative personnel to drive grassroots awareness across all sectors.
