Amritsar, Sept 16: Security forces stationed in Amritsar achieved a significant breakthrough after detaining four local operatives linked to aerial drug drops near the Khasa area. The intelligence-led action yielded 27 kilograms of high-grade heroin and a handgun from the possession of the suspect quartet. Officials confirmed the identities of the arrested men as Karan from Bhusse village, alongside Bhalla Colony residents Samarpreet, Vishal, and Sunny.
The illegal consignments were reportedly funneled across border fences using drone technology to evade traditional detection. Detection teams declared that overseas elements played a pivotal role in the enterprise, asserting that a Dubai-based contact named Karan organized the logistical route for the drops.
Active interrogation of the four men continues at the Counter Intelligence facility, with senior officers affirming that probe teams are pursuing additional leads that may disclose further arms or contraband caches.
